"STREETATHON - Green Run and Wellness Fiesta" co-organised by Hong Kong Playground Association and RunOurCity will be held at Cha Kwo Ling Promenade and Kwun Tong Promenade on 10th December. Exciting activities include a 3-kilometer harbourfront leisure run, a "Playful Nature" 1-kilometer walk, an orienteering game on the landscaped deck, and a wellness carnival. Registration is required for the 3-kmRun and 1-km Walk, while walk-ins will be accepted for orienteering and the carnival. The event welcomes children and youth aged 6 to 24 years and their families.
RunOurCity has always been committed to discovering new running routes and different models of running experiences for runners. As one of the lead-in activities in the "HONG KONG STREETATHON2023" series, "STREETATHON - Green Run and Wellness Fiesta'' is purposefully held at Cha Kwo Ling Promenade, which was just opened to the public in August. Thesite combines the concept of "multi-purpose use" and is designed with the idea of "Playful Nature". Runners can run all the way from Cha Kwo Ling Promenade to Kwun Tong Promenade, enjoying the beautiful scenery of Victoria Harbour along the route. The 1-kilometer walk and the orienteering activity will resonate with the themes of “air, earth, sky, sun, and water” of Cha Kwo Ling Promenade Landscaped Deck, allowing participants to enjoy the connection between people and nature while having fun.
The Hong Kong Playground Association (HKPA)has been contributing to the community and benefiting the new generation with the spirit of "people-oriented and pursuit of excellence". This year's Carnival, co-organised by the “Social Work Division” and the “Culture, Sports and Arts Division” of the Association, featured a variety of games with sports elements, such as urban sports classes, VR rowing and mobile rock-climbing, urban orienteering and physical fitness challenges, etc., to cultivate young people's interest in sports. In addition, there will be a number of arts and crafts workshops to help children and young people develop their artistic and creative talents, which are suitable for all.
